G L A S S; Character: Ritsuka Aoyagi Series/Fandom: Loveless Original or Alternate: Original Universe Age: 12 Gender: Male Species: Human (with cat-like appendages) Sexuality: Homosexual Barracks: Paj-Tessera Training: SPECTRAL : DEFENSIVE Appearance: A wash of ink against crisp white parchment, Ritsuka is all dark hair, violet eyes, and canvas stretched over a bone-thin frame. 4'10" and 68 lbs leaves Ritsuka with a lithe, delicate, figure; you can see every tendon, track every vein, and with every movement of his hands, you'll see ten times the expression of his fauxly administered face. Ebony hair is cut short, though Ritsuka's bangs still have the habit of falling into his eyes, and a matching pair of cat ears and tail adorn his body (a symbol of what he has yet to lose). Recently he's grown into the habit of wearing over-sized coats and sweaters that swallow his thin frame, effectively concealing himself from prying eyes, with well-tailored pants as a complement. And more often than not, bandages litter his face and hands, from old wounds that his mother inflicted upon him. P L E A S E . D O N ' T . F O R G E T; Personality: Cynical pacifism with just a touch of apathy; Ritsuka's often distant and hard to approach. At the tender age of 12, Ritsuka's already an accomplished actor, fending off his teacher's concern with a false smile and mask of content kindness. He won't hesitate to lie if it serves his purpose, anything to deflect attention from himself. But despite being a little rough around the edges, Ritsuka's pleasant enough, just another normal kid; extremely close to those that he cares about (he'd give the world to his friends, if he could), and just a little naive (a trait that is rapidly disappearing). Normal right? There's just one more thing - Ritsuka's obsessed with disappearing. He doesn't want to forget, and if you meet him on the street, he'll likely ask for a memento to remember you by (if you're a worthwhile person, that is). Ritsuka, he's just trying to make the most of the time that he has, he's preoccupied with the return of his other self, and should the real Ritsuka ever return, he'd like to be remembered. It's a pretty thought. |
T R U M P . C A R D; Abilities/Strengths: Ritsuka is surprisingly tolerant of pain. As a Sacrifice, it's his role to take the damage in a spell battle, which, more often than not, ends up being excruciating agony. ♥ He's also smarter than most people that are twice his age, a middle-school boy that can read and comprehend Nietzsche is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Oddly enough, Ritsuka is also very skilled at the game of rock-paper-scissors. Weapons: Ritsuka considers himself a pacifist, carries no weapons, and will never resolve to violence unless pushed to a breaking point. A C H I L L E S ' . H E E L; Weaknesses: Seimei - anything at all concerning his older brother and the mystery surrounding his death. When Soubi appeared, all he had to say was that 'he was a friend of Seimei's', and Ritsuka immediately gave him the benefit of the doubt, and trusted him even though Soubi was a complete stranger. Ritsuka would go to any length to find his brother's murderers and bring them to justice. And then there's the real Ritsuka, mention anything concerning mood swings or split personalities, and Ritsuka will immediately raise his guard and likely flee the scene. He's extremely sensitive when it comes to the subject of his amnesia, even claims that he'd willingly leave should the former Ritsuka ever surface. T H E . F A D E D . P O R T R A I T; History: A corpse, charred, burnt, but not unrecognizable. The sick smell of roasted flesh. His older brother's body, Seimei, his protector, dead – and the icing on the cake? The surprise was waiting for Ritsuka that morning when he got to school, Seimei's body sat in the desk Ritsuka occupied on a daily basis; the murder case made headline news. There's little that Ritsuka can remember from before that, there's his brother's real name – Beloved – and then there's his mother's constant abuse (razor-blade cuts and forks digging into his skin). But that's his fault, he deserves it, he took the real Ritsuka away. The doctors called it amnesia, with a customary personality change. Whatever it was, his mother, Misaki, hated him for it. The former Ritsuka was outgoing, lovable, was no stranger to the joys of friendship and family – but now? Well, the Ritsuka that's here is completely different, withdrawn, studios-- he's simply not the boy that Misaki raised. Seimei had always protected him from his mother's rages, had told him that everything would be alright, but now that presence was gone. |
An abusive mother, and a father that remained silent through it all – Ritsuka tolerated it, because he was all that their family had left of their two lost sons. Enter Soubi Agatsuma, a stranger, an adult - a person that claimed to be a friend of Seimei's, a man who opened the door to a world that lurked beyond the surface of the every-day mundane. A world of fighters, sacrifices, and spell battles; a world that Seimei was a part of. Ritsuka handed his trust to Soubi, the only tangible link that he had to his late brother, and was told that Seimei had bequeathed Soubi - his fighter- to Ritsuka in his will. And Soubi wasn't hesitant to carry out Seimei's wishes, and immediately reveals the name Ritsuka bears as a sacrifice - Loveless. {Loveless, it's oddly fitting, because the only love Ritsuka had know had come from his late brother. Soubi's professed love, just a farce, an order to be carried out as a part of Seimei's will.} Reluctantly, Ritsuka began to use Soubi as a tool to help him find out the mystery behind his brother's murder, and in doing so, began to partake in spell battles with Soubi as a sacrifice. An organization, the Nanatsu no Tsuki, laid at the root of at all, and Ritsuka was determined to avenge his brother. It's just a shame he wound up in Econtra before he could accomplish the task.
